Frequently asked questions
The following are answers to some questions we’ve received. If you have any other questions about NACAA XXVI, please use our Contact page. The Venue:
- There is a small cafe/shop in the Rydges lobby, which will be open all days over Easter (including Good Friday) from 9am-3pm. It sells pre-packaged sandwiches, pies etc, drinks and such.
- The shop also sells toiletries, breakfast cereals etc.
- There is an auto-teller in the hotel lobby.
Transport:
- Full-fare MYKI cards for travel on public transport can be bought and topped-up in the machine at the local station at any time. Concession MYKIs will need to be purchased before 5pm on Thursday at the post office around the corner from Rydges – the post office is closed over Easter (including Easter Saturday).
- The current plan for transport to/from the Sunday afternoon activities is to use car-pooling. People who register to attend the GMT Excursion or Farewell Function will be contacted closer to the date to make arrangements.
Registrations:
- Attendance on the Sunday afternoon excursion is only available to participants who have registered for the Sunday.
- The tour of the Melbourne Observatory is only available to attendees of the Sunday Farewell function.
- All speakers (except our invited guest speakers) must register and pay to attend NACAA.
