Abstract
The author reflects on his long term involvement in amateur astronomy and many years of visual observation of variable stars. There are some memorable events during this time, some personal achievements and some results of research on specific stars.
Biography
Fascinated by nature and the night sky since a young age, Peter has been involved in amateur astronomy as a visual observer of most things for many years. Located in the southern outskirts of Sydney, his principal interest is the observation of variable stars.
