Astro Expo 2008

NACAA is happy to invite everyone to the 2008 Astro Expo Where? Penrith Panthers Leagues Club, Mulgoa Road, Penrith. Date? Easter Saturday, March 22 2008. Time? 10AM to 4:30PM. Cost? Free. Parking? Free and plentiful. The 2008 Astro Expo will have a number of vendors demonstrating and answering questions about telescopes, binoculars, astronomical equipment, books, etc. As well, the local amateur astronomy community will be represented by WSAAG (Western Sydney Amateur Astronomy Group) who will be showing off their telescopes. Come along and you’ll soon learn how much an amateur astronomer likes talking about his or her hobby. WARNING: their enthusiasm can be quite infectious! There will also be displays covering a variety of topics including astronomical observing programmes and techniques. The astrophotographs shouldn’t be missed, capturing the beauty of the Sun, Moon, planets, star clusters, nebulae (gas clouds) and galaxies. All images on display are taken with typical amateur equipment. Why not make a day of it and sit back and enjoy the hospitality of this famous, family orientated club?
