Combining asteroid occultation observations with photoelectric light curve inversions

Abstract

In recent years photometrists have developed techniques to model the shape of an asteroid from its rotational light curve. Recently the results of asteroidal occultations have been combined with these shape models. This paper will provide an overview of the results obtained.

Biography

Dave’s interests in astronomy include astrometry of asteroids and comets, observing Baily Beads in solar eclipses, and lunar and asteroid occultations. He is the author of the program Occult, and a recipient of the Berenice Page award.
