Equatorial Eclipsing Binaries Project

Dr Thomas Richards

Variable Stars South

The EEB Project (leader: Tom Richards) is a joint collaboration between Variable Stars South and the Variable Star Section of the British Astronomical Association, to study some neglected Algol-type eclipsing binaries near the celestial equator. The project has over a dozen observers from four countries who have been using visual, DSLR and CCD instrumentation.
The poster will present results to date on the observed stars, together with commentary on problems, techniques and work still to be done. Information will be supplied on how new observers can join the project and the equipment and skills they will need.
