TNO occultation predictions from the RIO Group

Abstract

This talk follows on from Steve Kerr’s Sunday afternoon presentation “Measuring Trans-Neptunian Objects with Backyard Telescopes”. The RIO Group, lead by Bruno Sicardy and Felepe Braga Ribas, produce high quality predictions, and now Dave Herald’s Occult can download the data and make the predictions and updates available quickly and easily via Hristo Pavlov’s Occult Watcher software.

Biography

Dave Gault is a Mechanical Engineer and Toolmaker who has been working in the manufacturing industry for 38 years. He has been a member of Western Sydney Amateur Astronomy Group (WSAAG) for 18 years and a member of the International Occultation Timing Association (IOTA) for 10 years. He owns and operates Kuriwa Observatory MPC E28. He is married, has two daughters and lives in The Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia.
