2022 Page Medal

The Astronomical Society of Australia will be presenting the Berenice and Arthur Page Medal at NACAA XXX. Further details can be found here.

NACAA XXX -- 2022 is Online!!

As the headline shows, the National Australian Convention of Amateur Astronomers that was to be held in Melbourne by the ASV will now be fully online.

With the uncertainty of travel, social distancing and the ever present COVID virus, all NACAA committees made the decision to change from the proposed hybrid event that was publicised earlier to now become a broadcast event. Further details of the broadcast can be found on the "2022" pages of this website.

See the Programme page for links to the sessions

The Astronomical Society of Victoria will still be the 'hosts' and will be facilitating the speaker link-ups and the live broadcast of the event.

The first day of the broadcast will be Easter Saturday, April 16, 2022 in keeping with our usual NACAA format. The second day of broadcast will now change to the following Saturday, April 23, 2022.

There will be one stream per day starting at 09:00 AEST and THERE WILL BE NO COST TO ATTEND!

Previously we advised that registration will be required. This was for the Annual General Meeting that is usually held on Easter Saturday. Our constitution allows some flexibility as to when we hold the AGM so a decision has been made to have that meeting later in the year. Notification of this date will be broadcast sometime afer the convention has been held.

See you online for NACAA 2022!!
