Following the success of TTSO5 in Napier in 2011, NACAA and the RASNZ Occultation Section are pleased to announce that the 6th TTSO will be held in Brisbane in 2012, in conjunction with NACAA XXV. Further details will be announced in early 2012.

The 2011 Nobel prize in Physics has been awarded to Saul Perlmutter, Adam Riess, and Brian Schmidt “for the discovery of the accelerating expansion of the Universe through observations of distant supernovae”. The Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the Australian National University have made a generous donation towards the running of NACAA XXV. We thank the RSAA for the generosity.

Variable Stars South, the coordinating body for variable star observers in the southern hemisphere, is happy to announce that the second Variable Stars South Colloquium will be held as part of NACAA XXV.
