Precision CCD Photometry

You've reached the limit of your CCD equipment - you just can't take a deeper galaxy image or beat your photometric errors down any further. Or so you think - I've been a professional for decades, and keep finding new techniques for imaging! Many of the topics I will cover, such as flatfielding, signal/noise and optimal stacking algorithms, are applicable to any kind of imaging.

Others, such as aperture selection and ensemble photometry, are specific to brightness measurement of stellar sources. Whatever your advanced interest, you will find some new trick in this workshop or I'll eat my AAVSO hat.
